Ruptured my bicep tendon and faced my first ever operation. I was made to feel very comfortable, all my options were explained perfectly. The operation and rehab were all smooth and the whole process was made as easy as it could be, thanks to dr al-hakim

I saw Mr Al-Hakim about arthritis in my thumbs. He explained the options, and supported my choice of steroid injections (very successful so far, a month on.) It seems likely that the condition may well require surgery in the future; if so, I hope that Mr Al-Hakim will be the one to perform it: I trust his judgment, and appreciate his clear and compassionate explanations of what is happening.

I went to see Mr Al-Hakim when I was suffering from bursitis/shoulder impingement. I was impressed by the fact that he didn't suggest surgery straight away. He explained that it's a long, painful recovery and it would be good to try steroid injections first. I had two injections which gave some relief but not enough, so in the end I had decompression surgery. The surgery was successful and I'm very happy with the result. I found Mr Al-Hakim to be kind, attentive to my concerns and extremely professional. Hopefully, I won't have to go through this again on my other shoulder, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Mr Al-Hakim.
